B&C Contractors has implemented a documented Health & Safety Management System (OHSAS) in accordance with the requirements of OHSAS18001:2007.
The main objectives of this system are to ensure that customer requirements are clearly understood and met, construction projects are delivered on time and within budget and that the OH&S system is maintained in compliance with relevant legislation.
The detailed implementation of the OHSAS is available on request.
As part of OHSAS 18001:2007, all procedures cover employees of the company, contractors and sub-contractors and they are responsible for complying with the legislation that is communicated to them. These procedures are communicated through

All B&C Contractors personnel have Safe Pass Cards. There are also employees with Scaffolding Certificates, Machine Tickets, Irish Concrete Federation Certificates, Managing Safely in Construction Certificates and Occupational First Aid Certificates. As part of OHSAS 18001:2007, there are site induction meetings held at the commencement of each site and for every new or transferring operative thereafter. Regular Tool Box Talks are held especially when site circumstances change with all B&C Contractors personnel and sub-contractors attending. Records of same are kept on file.
There is a Training Plan and Training Records kept on all B&C Contractors employees which is reviewed regularly. Trainers who are competent to deliver training are then used to train our staff, where possible we use FAS approved trainers or trainers recognised by some other national or international body. Staff who are competent to deliver training based on their expertise and skills will deliver internal training.
